2008 Chateau Massiac Minervois

In your glass the wine is dark purple at the core with a brighter rim, very inky in color. The nose is dark fruits, blackberry, spice, leather, oaky, woody and earthy. Bold flavors of dark fruits, spice, med tannins, not very grippy, rustic but balanced and enjoyable. This wine is a great bargain from the Languedoc region, an area that I have found to produce some real under $20 jewels. This is an excellent wine, I highly recommend it, and these wines will age well over the next several years.
